Leather, traced where others stop at fiber.
Leather is the hardest chain to prove: long, fragmented, and the one where buyers now ask you to go back beyond the tannery, toward the slaughterhouse and the herd. We know this filiere, we already run a live network of tanneries and article makers across Europe, and we collect the data at the depth each chain allows.
What we help with
The real problem is going back to the herd.
On leather, the questions our clients bring are not about consumer passports. They are about collecting documents from suppliers you barely know, several tiers up, and about how far up the chain you can credibly go. That is what we address.
Nb: This page is about traceability and documentary collection on leather. The DPP and AGEC obligations are covered on the regulations pages.
A live network
Tanneries and article makers, already onboarded.
We do not start from a blank page. The platform already runs with tanneries and article makers across the European leather districts, in France, Italy and Spain, mapped tier 1 to 3+, searchable by fiscal number or DUNS, governed with multi-level validation and a completeness score per site.
Ten years alongside the filiere means we speak its language: wet blue and crust, LWG audits, finishing, cutting yields. Your suppliers are not asked to translate their world into a generic form.
Advisory first
Before the tool, we map and understand your filiere.
Leather traceability does not start with software. It starts with understanding the chain: who the actors are, how they work, and why you are tracing in the first place.
1
Understand the actors
Fine, hands-on knowledge of the leather filiere: tanneries, article makers, the federations and the way the trade works in France, Italy and Spain.
2
Design the chain
We map and design your value chain actor by actor, and run traceability exercises to see how far each chain can credibly go.
3
Frame the why and the depth
Why trace, to what depth, against which regulatory, quality and brand-protection stakes. The answer sets the collection strategy.
4
Then onboard and run
Once the filiere is structured, we onboard each actor and move to the platform, at supplier depth or lot depth.

What we do
Two depths, one platform.
Not every chain needs the same depth. We run both, on the same dataset, and help you choose where each pays off.
Documentary collection, scope 1 to n
Reach suppliers directly on the platform, collect and validate their certificates, connect to external databases, and keep everything current, at the documentary level. This is what most tier-n chains need first.

Lot-level traceability, toward the herd
Where the data allows, we go much deeper: each lot traced through article, manufacture, tannery, slaughterhouse and cattle farm, with parcel geolocation and proofs chained at each step.

A top luxury leather goods maison
A leading luxury leather goods maison needed to prove the origin of its hides beyond the tannery, under buyer and regulatory pressure. We started with a filiere-mapping engagement: qualifying tanneries and article makers across France and Italy, designing the data model in the filiere's own language, and running traceability exercises to set the realistic depth per chain. We then onboarded the actors on the platform and put documentary collection in place tier by tier, before extending selected chains to lot-level custody toward the slaughterhouse and farm.
